Spencer Dinwiddie And DeAndre Jordan Will Sit Out Orlando After Testing Positive For Coronavirus – Fadeaway World
The Brooklyn Nets got an invite to Orlando, but they’ll be going hobbled and in pieces as two of their best players — Spencer Dinwiddie and DeAndre Jordan — will not be joining them after receiving a positive diagnosis with Coronavirus.
The report was dropped by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Two Brooklyn Nets have tested positive for the coronavirus — Jordan and Spencer Dinwiddie. Jordan has opted-out of Orlando, and Dinwiddie is strongly considering the same. Nets will sign a substitute for Jordan, per sources. Nets are presently the seventh seed in East.

Dinwiddie and Jordan are just two of the latest in a long line of players to test positive in the past few weeks. As the league began issuing tests for every team, this result was expected.
As for the Nets, without Spencer, DeAndre, and (of course) Kevin Durant, it is unlikely they will be able to go very far this season, especially since the path the Finals includes the Bucks, Raptors, and Sixers.
It’s an unfortunate situation for them, but also a reminder to the rest of the world that COVID-19 doesn’t care about being kind or fair. Anyone is at risk and anyone can suffer the consequences that come with infection.
